Reclaim and Reframe

This project is meant to highlight the reuse of materials and the importance of doing so. The "tiles" seen around the edge of the frames were reclaimed from my grandma's kitchen renovation. They are protecting the raw, unfired clay within them. I have chosen to show these pieces in tandem with fired work. The fired pieces have an unconventional finish for ceramics; modge podge. I was aiming to highlight the use of different, uncommon techniques that still create beautiful results.
